Why Choose a Registered Bas Agent?
A non BAS Agent can
face penalties
Due
to the varying levels of bookkeeping skills and experience in the community,
the ATO introduced legislation in March 2010 to regulate the Bookkeeping
industry.
Bookkeepers
who provide BAS services without being a registered Bas Agent face stiff penalties. A non-registered Bookkeeper can still
perform limited services or can operate legally but only if they are supervised
by a BAS Agent.
At Diverse
Bookkeeping, we are registered BAS Agents, which means that we have:
- The minimum qualification levels
of a Certificate IV in Financial Services in either Bookkeeping or Accounting.
- The minimum relevant experience
requirements of performing between 1000 – 1400 hours of providing BAS Services.
- Adhere to the Tax Practitioner Board's Code of Professional Conduct.
- Meet ongoing Professional Development
requirements.
- Can prepare your BAS legally.
If you need a reliable,
experienced and trustworthy bookkeeper who can help to free up your time, contact Diverse
Bookkeeping today.
